Overview

Valt ("we", "the app") is a workout tracking application developed by Rob Kinsella. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your personal data.

What Data We Collect

Valt collects only the data you explicitly provide:

• Account data: email address and password (if you create an account)
• Workout data: exercises, sessions, templates, sets, reps, weights
• Body measurements: weight, body measurements, progress photos (stored locally on your device only)
• Health profile: date of birth, gender, height (used for exercise recommendations)
• Targets and events: fitness goals and race/competition entries

Where Data Is Stored

• On your device: All data is stored locally in an SQLite database. The app works fully offline.
• Cloud sync (optional): If you create an account, your workout data syncs to Supabase (hosted on AWS in the EU region) for backup and multi-device access. Progress photos are never uploaded.
• Authentication: Email and hashed password are stored by Supabase Auth.

Analytics and Error Reporting

We may collect anonymous usage analytics and crash reports to help improve the app. This is limited to technical data such as app performance, feature usage patterns, and error logs.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell or share your data with third parties
• We do not display advertising
• We do not collect location data

Third-Party Integrations

You may optionally connect third-party services (intervals.icu, Health Connect). Data from these services is pulled into your local database only. We do not send your data to these services.

Data Retention

Your data remains on your device and (if synced) in Supabase until you delete it. You can delete your account at any time, which removes your data from our servers. Local data remains on your device until you uninstall the app.

Your Rights

You can:

• Use the app without creating an account (guest mode)
• Export your data (planned feature)
• Delete your account and all associated server data
• Request a copy of your data by contacting us

Account Deletion

You can delete your account directly within the app by going to Settings > Account > Delete Account. This removes your account and all associated data from our servers. Local data remains on your device until you uninstall the app.

If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing support@kinsella.dev from the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.

Children

Valt is not intended for use by children under 16.
