Valt is a free app built and run by Rob Kinsella. Your data lives on your phone first, and if you turn on sync a copy is also kept on a server. Things may break or change, so please keep an export of anything you care about, and train within your own limits.
Valt is currently in beta, so expect more rough edges than usual.
By using Valt you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. You must be 16 or over to use it.
Valt's free features are provided as they are. Like any software, Valt will have bugs, and I can't promise it will always be available, work without errors, or suit any particular purpose. Features may change, be added or be removed.
Valt depends on things I don't control, including your phone's operating system, app stores, device makers and the services Valt connects to. If one of them changes or stops working, parts of Valt may stop working too. I'll do my best to fix things when that happens, but I can't guarantee how quickly or that a fix will be possible.
Your training data is stored on your device. You're responsible for keeping your own backups, and Valt includes an export so you can (Settings > Data Export). I work to keep your data safe, but I can't guarantee it won't be lost or damaged, for example through a bug, a failed update, or a lost or reset phone.
If you create an account, a copy of your data is stored with a cloud provider so it can sync between devices. Sync is an optional extra. I may change it, limit it or withdraw it, for example if running costs become too high. Where I can, I'll give at least 30 days' notice in the app. Your data will stay on your device, and server copies will be deleted at the end of the notice period.
You can delete your account and its server data at any time from Settings > Account.
Valt is a training log, not medical advice. Training plans, suggested weights, heart-rate zones and anything produced by AI features are general information, and they may be wrong. Check with a doctor or qualified professional before starting a new programme, especially if you have an injury or health condition. Stop if something hurts.
Valt can connect to other services, including health platforms, training sites and AI providers. Which ones are available depends on your phone, and the current list is in Settings > Connections & Devices. Their own terms apply, and I'm not responsible for them or what they do with your data. AI features use your own API key, and any costs are between you and that provider.
To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any loss of data, or for any indirect loss, arising from your use of Valt. My total liability to you for anything else is limited to £50.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't legally be limited.
I may update these terms. If a change is significant, the app will ask you to accept it again.
Questions: support@valt.fitness. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
